What is an office pod or an office booth?
An office pod is a freestanding, enclosed workspace designed to provide privacy and reduce noise inside an open office.
They are used for phone calls, video meetings, focused work and small team discussions.
Because they are modular and self contained, they can be installed quickly and moved as your needs change.
Are office pods soundproof?
Office pods are not fully soundproof, but they are designed to significantly reduce noise and improve speech privacy.
Most high-quality pods reduce sound by 25 to 30 decibels. For context, normal conversation is around 60 dB, so speech outside the pod drops to a much quieter, less distracting level.
Instead of complete silence, the ventilation system inside the pods create a soft ambient “white noise” effect, helping mask speech and improve privacy.
What are the lead times on office pods?
Most office pods have a typical lead time of 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the model, finish selections, and current availability.

Yes, standard pods are moveable thanks to retractable casters. However, accessibility-focused pods are different. To meet ADA compliance requirements, these models are floor-level (no raised base) and do not include casters, meaning they are intended to remain in a fixed location.
