I am the administrator at Strategic Arts Management (SAM), a non-profit with four part-time staff and a team of consultants who work together to support and serve artists and arts organizations in Nova Scotia. With the new year, we acquired a new location, and—thanks to Office Interiors—new furniture.
It’s so much more than furniture! Their designers transformed our disconnected, two-story layout into a polished and practical office, with four flexible workstations and a breakout room for ideas, workshops, meetings, and more. It’s a space we’re already at home in, and can stretch and thrive in. And me, I love the way I work. I have decorated, as Cory recommends, and found the perfect place for everything from laptops to labels to lip balm. And I still have drawers. This is important, not just to me (it is important to me—I’m a neat-and-orderly sort), but to SAM, as it’s my workspace that greets you when you walk through our door.
As I type this, a trio of young theatre makers is talking to one of my colleagues about theatre and grants and SAM, and I’m grinning at how wonderful and welcoming this space is for them, and how much I love it. Thank you, Cory, and the team in Halifax. We are so grateful to Office Interiors for their service and their support—not just of Strategic Arts Management, but of the arts throughout the Maritimes.
