Sustainability is the core of our company’s transformation.
One of our six Core Values at Office Interiors is “Our Environment” and it has been since our founding over 30 years ago. We have always taken seriously our responsibility to do our part to reduce the amount of carbon emitted into the atmosphere as a result of our activities.
We essentially focus on 3 key areas in this regard; first by partnering with the best global manufacturing leaders in environmental stewardship; companies like Haworth, Ricoh and Humanscale. You can read more about their efforts here, it is impressive. Second, we continuously look for ways to reduce, reuse and recycle in our operations to reduce our own carbon footprint. Again, more details of these evolving efforts are outlined here.
Finally, we focus on education. Education for our team to ensure we all understand the issues and are doing everything we can to have a real impact on the environment. In addition, we are continually educating our customers to help them make choices that are in tune with environmental stewardship and their goals to be more sustainable.
Valuing our environment has always been important, but never more so than today. With 50 billion tons of carbon being emitted into our global atmosphere annually, we all need to step up and do more to dramatically reduce this trend.
